Superman To Cast Relative Unknown

The search is on for the next actor to play Superman in the upcoming reboot. According to Deadline the studio is looking for an actor in the 28-32 age range that is either an unknown or comes from television. As of now the only name confirmed to be in the running is Joe Manganiello (True Blood) who stated he is being considered. The studio is expected to look at hundreds of actors however before making a decision.
Superman is being directed by Zack Snyder, written by David Goyer, and produced by Christopher Nolan. The movie is set to begin filming next June with a targeted release sometime in 2012.
