Raising Hope Gets Full Season Order

My favorite new comedy of the fall season is the Fox series Raising Hope. It actually has quickly become my favorite comedy on TV behind just Modern Family. The series centers on a young guy that gets stuck with a baby and his somewhat dysfunctional family that helps him out. It sounds generic on the surface but it avoids that completely and has surprised me in many ways. The show just has a sentimental and honest nature to it, somehow remaining just grounded enough despite some outrageous events that are pretty damn funny.

So I was pleased to hear that Raising Hope is the first new series to get a back nine pickup which will take its full season to 22 episodes. The show has done well ratings wise and has benefited from having Glee as its lead-in.

Nothing about that titles says comedy to me, it sounds more like a life time movie. It is the biggest reason I havent seen this show yet. I guess I will correct that soon.

You have to. It’s like Raising Arizona.

It’s a good show. I’ve seen it a few times.

It’s like a mix of “Roseanne” and “Three Men & a Baby” :)
