Entourage executive producer and creator Mark Wahlberg has on previous occasion laid out plans for the future of the series. The seventh season debuts on June 27th and will include 10 episodes. An eight season will finish up the series’ run with six episodes. That will then be followed by a movie. Speaking in regards to the potential storyline for the movie Wahlberg made the following statement to MTV.

“In the trailer, you see [Ari and his associate, Lloyd] waking up together in Vegas not knowing what happened. It would be pretty cool!” … “I just think we can make a great movie. I think people always wanted [it] and have complained that the episodes are too short — they’ve always wanted more. I think we’re going to do it. We just have to end strong, and this season is, by far, the best season so far.”

I’m pretty sure that The Hangover covered that but of course an Entourage movie would be about the characters and it would be hard to deny the appeal of extended time with Ari and Lloyd. The biggest complaint with Entourage over the years has been how short the episodes are with some running just 20 minutes. A movie would obviously solve that issue and hopefully close out the series on a high note.
