  • I love Jackie Chan, but this is no Karate Kid. They should have just named it something different. Instead, they are cashing in on the Karate Kid cache.

Karate is from Japan, not China. The reason they were going to call it "Kung Fu Kid" is because he is doing Kung Fu, not Karate. This movie is a bad joke, and a slap in the face to the martial arts community and fans of the original.

by the way, until someone come out with an original idea for one of these movies you might as well not put them up, your basically telling us there gunna take a decent movie from a while ago and proceed to ruin it and put the same name on it. shame no one can actually come up with an idea, and instead they just steal ideas from back in the day

will smith's son couldnt act his way though a paper bag, might as well consider this a "MUST MISS"

Worst trend of the new millenium - remakes. I thought the sequel plague was bad enough, but I've come to find the remake trend even more appalling
  • Terrible.

  • Why would they remake a classic like the Karate Kid? Do you re-paint the Mona Lisa?
  • nice
for sure Fred, problem is no one these days have an original idea for a good movie, so they just steal good ideas people had back in the day. welcome to the US
  • Thats what I've been reading in several places over the last few months. The thought was maybe stick with the original title they were going to use which was "The Kung Fu Kid". At least it would've been differentiated somewhat because of that.
