Kick-Ass Trailer

Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Kick-Ass. The movie stars Nicolas Cage and Christopher Mintz-Plasse and is directed by Matthew Vaughn (Stardust). Based on the comics the story revolves around an average kid who decides to become the world’s first superhero despite the fact that he has no powers or even any training.

Coming out of Comic-Con there was a lot of buzz based on the clips that were shown. Since then test screenings have been exceptional which prompted Slashfilm to ponder whether it could end up being the best superhero movie ever made. Comparisons are being made to The Matrix from those who have seen it. Kick-Ass is currently slated to release on April 16th 2010.
