Ain’t It Cool News sat down with The Wolfman director Joe Johnston to discuss the film. The interview changes direction when Johnston mentions the possibility of a Jurassic Park 4, since he directed the third film in the franchise.

There is a great story for the fourth one that I would be interested in getting involved with and it’s nothing like the first three,” Johnston told the site, “It sort of takes the franchise off in a completely different direction, which is the only way I would want to get involved.

Since the movie is headed in a different diirection, we won’t see the same story that we saw in the first three films.

Why would anybody go back to that island?” Johnston said. “It was hard enough to figure out the second and third reason for them to go, but it would take it off in a whole other trilogy basically, but when it gets to that level it’s sort of about studios and Steven [Spielberg's] thing and who knows. I think we are at that point where we are due for another one if we are going to do it.”

I enjoyed the first film quite a bit. But like many movie sequels, I thought they have gotten worse with each release. I’m interested to see what the fourth film’s plot will be like since it will be completely different. As of yet there has been no official release date for the film.

  • I LOVE!!!!!11 Jurassic park Movies. The 1st, and 2nd Great, the 3rd was ok not the best at all. I can't wait for the 4th, 5th, 6th....... Just keep it going.

Some peolpe need to know when franchises are dead as much as i like this one there is no need for another
  • not when money is involved and theres probably money to be made
  • 100% correct. As long as people will go see it, it will be made. Take a look at all those Saw movies. People continue to see them, sure not as much as the 1st few, but people still see it.

Obviously the first is the best, its still one of my favorite movie theater experiences ever. But I still liked the other two and hope for another!
